Web Standards and Browser Compatibility

Valid CSS Valid xhtml

The rendering code (XHTML) used to create the web pages of Hanks-Place.com is Verified  XHTML 1.00 Strict. We also use Verified CSS 2.0 Cascading Style Sheets. The only exceptions are the Google Ads (Which are created by a script over which we have no control.)

All Hanks-Place.com  pages have been tested with and will render properly on all the most popular modern, standards compliant web browsers. On Microsoft browsers older than IE7, you experience some rendering problems.

No IE

If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 (or any version less them IE7) you are seeing a downgraded version of this website, at best.  Thanks to Dean Edward's ie7 script, these pages will render acceptably in the older Microsoft browsers. You may experience some problems, mostly with the background images. The content is the same but the pages behave better on modern, standards compliant browsers. Visitors using old versions of Netscape or early versions of other browsers will probably have problems with this site.

If you want to see these pages as the were intended to look, give one of the more modern browsers a try. They are very easy to download and install and have many features that are not available on the older browsers. Firefox , Opera  and the improved but still lacking Internet Explorer 7 are all FREE!

Firefox 2   Opera 9.2 for Windows

If you must use Microsoft's Internet Explorer, you should upgrade to IE7
