Fly Direct To Fresh Creek

Continental Airlines regional affiliate Gulfstream International Airlines is offering four round trip flights each week between Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (airport code FLL), and Andros Town, AKA Fresh Creek (airport code ASD). Flights are operated by a combination of 19-seat Beech 1900 and 30-seat EMB-120 aircraft.

SHB Lodge runs several charter flights weekly from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) direct to Andros Town Airport (ASD). While these flights are primarily for SHBL customers, there are usually seats available for others. They generally use 7 or 9 passenger aircrafts. Flying time is one hour. Price is $120 plus taxes one way.

From West Palm Beach, Florida
AUTEC TheAtlanticU nderseaTest and E valuation Center flies a 19 seat Beachcraft 2 or 3 time daily between the West Palm Beach, Fl (PBI) and Andros Town International Airport (ASD). These flight are for Autec Customers, Employees and their guests only. Check with your sponsor for flight details. The Autec terminal at Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) is located on Perimeter Road, next to the General Aviation Customs office.
Fly To Andros Town Airport From Nassau
Traveling to Andros Island still usually requires a stop in Nassau. Currently, as there are no other direct commercial flights into Andros Town International Airport (ASD) from the USA. Several airlines do fly daily into Nassau (NAS) from various USA cities.
Western Air provides twice daily 19 passenger Metro service from Nassau International Airport (NAS) to Andros Town Airport (ASD). Flight time is approximately 15 minutes and costs $50.00 per person one-way ($90.00 round trip per person).
Flights depart Andros at 7:30AM and 3:30 PM daily.

Or Take the Fast Ferry:
A different and very enjoyable option is to travel by boat. The Fast Ferries "Sea Link"; and "Sea Wind" make several trips between Nassau and Fresh Creek each week. The voyage is 2hr 35min. The current cost is $60.00 round trip. They dock at Potter's Caye Dock, Nassau, near Paradise Island.

Customs at Andros Town International Airport (ASD) is open between 9:00am and 5:00pm, 7 days a week. Overtime can be arranged by calling Customs & Immigration at (242) 368-2030. There are no customs fees for truly "private" pilots.
Sail In On You Own Boat!
You can sail your own boat into Fresh Creek harbor. Coming in from the Tongue of The Ocean, leave the entry markers 20 yards to starboard. You will see one the AUTEC towers just inside the reef, keep that 10 yards to starboard also. There can be a strong northerly current between the reef and the harbor entrance, so keep looking back to be sure you are not drifting.
Enter the harbor on the north (starboard) side of the channel, then point immediately toward the Light House Marina because Fresh Creek shoals quickly on the North side. You can carry 7' into the creek with no problem. Dockage is available at the Lighthouse Marina and there are a few moorings in the creek. Don't try anchoring, the bottom is hardpan and the current runs as much as 5 knots. Lighthouse Marina (242) 368-2305. They sometimes monitor Ch. 16.
